Tornado Safety Drill
In 1998, Central Florida was hit by the worst tornado outbreak in the State's history. Many homes and lives were lost in Seminole County during that outbreak. As we leave a slow hurricane season, winter storms and tornadoes are in the forecast due to the second strongest El Nino in history. The strongest El Nino occurred in 1998.
To get better prepared, consider participating in "The Great Tornado Drill" and earn a chance to win a NOAA Weather Radio. There's three steps to participate:
Step 1: Mark your calendar for January 6 at 10 am.
Step 2: Find your shelter and take a selfie
Step 3: Post your selfie with #tornadodrill
