Satellite Beach Cares- all year 'round
Satellite Beach Women's Club, as a part of their charitable service to the community, created the “Satellite Cares” program. In 2017, SBWC charter required that they move focus to a new philanthropy, and the Satellite Beach Volunteer Fire Department was approached to take the reins of the Satellite Cares program. This program has assisted families year-round; providing food and resources to senior adults and struggling families - with added emphasis during the Holiday season.
Unfortunately, the funds that we have raised throughout the year may not be adequate to meet the needs in the SB community. In 2018, we assisted 30 families during the holiday season. The program has grown in scope and size each year. We know the need will be greater in 2019: This year we have nearly 100 children who are residents of Satellite Beach, who have been vetted, and who are in need!
If you would like to donate to this program, 100% of the donation will directly impact the lives of children and senior adults who are vetted, residents of Satellite Beach, and in need. Satellite Beach Volunteer Fire Department is a 501.c3 non-profit organization, and your contribution may be tax deductible. Donations of non-perishable food items, new unwrapped toys, and money are gratefully accepted all year at the SB Fire Dept at 1390 S Patrick Drive. Additionally, there is a dropbox for non-perishable food
